As we mature some patients may find that they require two prescriptions – one for long distance (such as watching television) and one for closer work such as reading. Varifocals are designed so that when you are looking ahead (to watch television for example) you are looking through the ‘distance’ part of the prescription, and when you are looking down to read you are looking through the ‘close’ part of the prescription.
Varifocals need very precise measuring for them to work successfully – which is why our dedicated dispensers will guide you through not only the best frame options for you, but also ensure that they are measured specifically to give you the maximum benefit.
