The History of Daybell & Choo

Inaugurated in 1991, our practice grew rapidly until 1997 heralded the opening of our re-located Sharrow Vale Road practice to brand new, greatly expanded premises.

Here, our ever increasing number of clients are offered the latest in optometric services in a friendly, spacious, modern environment.

The superb finish of our spectacles is due to the combination of the latest in lens technology combined with high fashion eyewear from Air, Strip & Rim Titanium, Calvin Klein, Alain Mikli, l.a. Eyeworks, Converse, Longines, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Gaultier, Face a Face.

In addition there is a large range of inexpensive designs for all ages, including a selection of FREE spectacles for children.

The principle practitioners Michael Daybell and Lee Choo qualified as optometrists in 1981 and were subsequently awarded their post-graduate diplomas in contact lens practice (D.C.L.P.) in 1988 and 1985 respectively. They worked for several years in hospital eye departments and contact lens practices in London before opening their own practice in Sheffield during 1992. The new, improved, superbly equipped practice reflects their commitment to high standards in optometry and they are ably assisted by experienced, courteous and efficient staff.
